Is dit iets voor jullie?
Voor wie het is
Couples and small groups of friends who like escape rooms, puzzle games and crime stories will enjoy solving a murder case on foot. The walk covers 2.3 km from the Fortress past the Chapel, the Sweet Factory, the Wine Institute and St. Luzia to Jardim, over around 2.5 hours at your own pace. Anyone wanting a live guide to quiz, or a light outing for small children rather than a murder plot, should pick something else.

Een paar antwoorden voor vertrek
Veelgestelde vragen
Is this like an escape room in Funchal?
It works like an escape room played outdoors. You solve a murder case on your phone while walking through the city. The app leads you from stop to stop, tells the story of each place and sets puzzles in what is in front of you. There is no room to book and no time slot.
Where does the murder mystery start and finish?
It starts at the Fortress and finishes at Jardim, so it does not end where it began. Along the way you pass stops including the Chapel, the Sweet Factory, the Wine Institute and St. Luzia. The route is 2.3 km in total.
How long does it take?
Most players take around 2.5 hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. The distance is 2.3 km, and you can pause the game and continue later if you want a break for food or drinks along the way.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers the whole group playing together, which suits couples and small groups of friends. There is no booking and no guide to meet: you start whenever you like from the Fortress and play at your own pace.
Can we play on a Sunday?
You can start any day, but the quest notes that the Market Hall is closed on Sunday. If you want the full experience without that limitation, choosing another day of the week is the safer option.
