You play on your phone. The app leads you from place to place through Kilkenny's alleyways and cobbled streets, tells the story of each stop with audio, and sets a puzzle in what is in front of you. Solve each clue to stay on the thief's trail.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Kilkenny Castle and passes The Tholsel, Kyteler's Inn, Rothe House, the Thomas Woodgate Memorial, the Old Library, Butler Gallery, Canal Square and St. Mary's Medieval Mile Museum. It finishes on The Parade, back by the castle where you began.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
The route is about 2 km, and most players take around 1.5 to 2 hours including walking and puzzles. You can pause and continue later. Make sure your phone is fully charged or bring a power bank.
