Veelgestelde vragen

Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts at Praça Luís de Camões and finishes at the Miradouro das Portas do Sol, so it is not a loop. Along the way you pass A Brasileira, Livraria Bertrand, the Santa Justa Lift, Rossio Square, Praça do Comércio, Casa dos Bicos and Chafariz d’El-Rei.
How long does it take and how far is it?
Most players take about two hours, including walking, listening to the audio stories and solving the puzzles. The route covers 2.9 km over varied terrain with changes in elevation, so wear comfortable shoes, bring water, a hat and sunscreen, and make sure your phone is charged.
Does the route pass through Rossio Square?
Yes. Rossio Square is the eighth stop, reached after the Carnation Revolution stop and followed by Nata de Lisboa and then Praça do Comércio. The app guides you there on foot and tells the story of the place.
Is it suitable for kids?
It is tagged family friendly, but the puzzles are rated medium to advanced, so it suits older children who enjoy a challenge more than very young ones. The walk takes about two hours with hills and cobbles, which can tire small legs.
Do we need to book a time, and can we pause?
No booking is needed. The quest is free to play, and you can start whenever you like, with no group to join and no guide. You can pause and continue later. The route is open around the clock but is better in daylight.
