Where does the treasure hunt start and finish?
It starts on Paseo del Espolón and finishes at Tr.ª de Laurel, so it does not end where it began. Along the way you pass C. San Bartolomé, Plaza del mercado, C. Portales, the Church of Santiago el Real, C. Barriocepo, Plaza Diversidad and the Museum of La Rioja.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Most players take just over an hour, walking and puzzles included, and cover about 1.5 km through the old town. The game runs on your phone the whole way, so make sure it is fully charged or bring a power bank.
Is it suitable for kids?
It suits older children who enjoy riddles and a light fantasy plot. The puzzles are rated medium difficulty and are set in the streets and buildings in front of you, so younger children may need plenty of help from the adults to keep up with the story.
Can we play as a group, and does it cost anything?
It is free to play. Couples, friends and families can follow the story together on the walk, with no group to join and no guide to wait for. You simply open the app at Paseo del Espolón and let it lead you from place to place.
Do we need to book a time, and can we pause?
There is no time slot to book. You can start whenever suits you, and if you want to stop for tapas or a glass of Rioja along the way, you can pause the game and continue later from where you left off.
