Veelgestelde vragen
Is this a murder mystery game in McKinney?
It is a detective mystery rather than a murder case. A whistleblower sets you on the trail of The Kingmakers, a secret society behind centuries of global schemes, and you solve puzzles at each stop to unravel their conspiracy. If you enjoy murder mysteries and escape rooms, the style of play will feel familiar.
How long does the game take and how far do we walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes, covering about 1.9 km on foot. The time depends on how quickly your group cracks the puzzles. You can pause at any point and continue later, so you can stop for a drink or a meal along the way.
Where does it start?
The game begins at its first point, labelled LBC in the app. Once you start, the app guides you from place to place, telling the story and setting a puzzle at each stop, so you do not need a map or any prior knowledge of McKinney.
Is it suitable for kids?
It is aimed at adults and families with teens. The plot involves conspiracy and deceit, and the puzzles ask you to decode secrets, which teenagers usually enjoy. Younger children may find the story and the code-breaking hard to follow over a 90 minute walk.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
Yes, one ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated. There is no time slot to book and no guide to meet, so you start whenever suits you. It is played outdoors, so check the weather, and pause if it starts to rain.
