Veelgestelde vragen
Is there a treasure hunt in Panama City's old town?
Yes. This is an escape-game style walk through Casco Viejo. Guided by the burned pages of a conquistador's diary, you search for ten hidden seals across plazas, churches, ruins and sea walls, and each landmark reveals part of the expedition's fate and leads you toward Alvarán's lost trove.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Plaza Herrera and finishes at Plaza de Francia, so it does not return to the start. In between you pass Iglesia de la Merced, the Church of Saint Joseph, Plaza de la Independencia, Casa Góngora, Plaza Bolivar, the National Theatre, Arco Chato and the Paseo Esteban Huertas sea wall.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Most players take about 80 minutes, walking and puzzles included. The route covers around 1.6 km through Casco Viejo. You can start whenever you like, with no group to join and no time slot to book, and you can pause and continue later if you need a break.
Is it good for kids, and can we play as a group?
It is tagged family friendly and also works well for couples. The puzzles are medium difficulty and solved in the real world, so school-age children who enjoy riddles will get the most out of it. One ticket covers the whole group playing together on the route.
What should we bring for the walk?
The whole route is outdoors in Casco Viejo, so wear a hat and sunscreen and carry enough water. The game runs on your phone, so make sure it is fully charged before you start or bring a power bank along.
