Voor wie het is
History-minded travellers, couples and families with older children get the stories behind old Reykjavík: the gods' district, the old morgue, the old prison and a window down to the first farm, over about two hours and 2.6 km of clue-solving. Pick something else if you want a live guide to question, or if two hours outdoors on foot is too much for your group.

Veelgestelde vragen
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at the tall church on the hill and finishes at the stop called The key to Reykjavík, so it does not end where it began. Along the way you pass the sculpture garden behind Hnitbjörg, Baldurstorg, the Parliament House and Fógetagarður, the Sheriff's garden and old graveyard.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take just under two hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers about 2.6 km through old Reykjavík. You can pause at any point and continue later, so there is time for a coffee stop.
Is it suitable for children?
It is tagged as family friendly and works best for older children who enjoy history and puzzles. Clues are set in what is in front of you at each stop, from the governor's house to the statue of the settler, and the route takes around two hours on foot.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
Yes, one ticket covers the whole group playing together on the same route. There is no time slot to book and no group to join: start whenever you like. No attraction tickets are needed for any of the stops.
Can we do it in the evening?
The route is open 24 hours a day, but it is better in daylight, when the clues around the squares, gardens and buildings are easier to spot. The whole quest is played outdoors, so dress for the Reykjavík weather.
