Het verhaal begint hier.
You know the old saying, “The boyfriend did it”? On an ill-fated night, love goes terribly wrong for Bella Wanderlust and Walter Bridges.
Bella, a famous travel blogger, was found dead during a ghost tour led by the theatrical Percy Shadows. Now, it’s up to you to uncover the truth.
Was it Walter, the obsessed boyfriend? Percy, the ghost tour guide with a flair for the dramatic? Or is someone else hiding in the shadows?
🔎 Gather clues, interrogate suspects, and expose the real murderer before they strike again. Make sure to have your pen and paper ready to jot down all the crucial evidence.
Is dit iets voor jullie?
Voor wie het is
A 1.8 km walk through San Mateo, around 90 minutes, puts you on the case of blogger Bella Wanderlust, found dead during a ghost tour, with boyfriend Walter and guide Percy Shadows among the suspects. Couples after a date with a puzzle in it, or friends who prefer clues to a dinner show, will enjoy it. Anyone wanting live actors to question should book a staged murder dinner.

Veelgestelde vragen
Is there a murder mystery game we can play in San Mateo?
Yes. This is a self-guided outdoor game played on your phones. The app leads you from place to place through San Mateo while you gather clues and interrogate suspects to decide whether Walter, Percy or someone else is behind Bella's death. You can start it any time.
How is this different from a murder mystery dinner?
There is no meal, no fixed seating and no cast performing for you. You walk the streets and do the detective work yourselves, with the app telling the story of each place and setting puzzles in what is in front of you. You pick the start time and can pause and continue later.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes for a walk of about 1.8 km. Because it is self-guided, you set the pace, and you can pause for a coffee or a break and pick up the investigation again later.
Is it suitable for kids?
It suits older kids and teens who like solving puzzles and following clues. The story centres on a woman found dead during a ghost tour and a set of suspects, so it is a better fit for that age group than for young children.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
Yes. One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated, and everyone can follow along on their own phone. There is no time slot to book, no guide to meet and no other group to join, so you start whenever suits you.
