Een paar antwoorden voor vertrek
Veelgestelde vragen
Is there a self-guided detective game in Sydney?
Yes. This one is a detective mystery played on your phone around central Sydney. You follow a whistleblower's leads to expose The Kingmakers, a secret society said to steer world leaders. You solve puzzles at each of 11 stops and start whenever you like, with no guide.
Is it suitable for under-18s?
It is written mainly for adults and works well for families with teens. The story is a political conspiracy, and the puzzles involve decoding clues. Younger children may find the theme and the code-breaking hard to follow, so teens are the best fit.
Does the route go through Angel Place?
Yes. Angel Place is one of the stops on the route. You also pass the Richard Johnson Obelisk, St James Square, the Lloyd Rees Fountain, the Matthew Flinders Statue and Il Porcellino. The app tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle there.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
The game starts at the State Library of New South Wales. The route is about 2.1 km long and takes around 90 minutes. Allow more time if you stop for coffee or take longer over the puzzles. You can pause and carry on later.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated. You do not book a time slot. Start whenever suits you, play at your own pace and pause if you need a break. Since the game is outdoors, check the weather before you set off.
