When Robert receives a call from the Hug-A-Com, he transforms into Kid Quest and assembles his trusted team: Pandi, Rocky, Sandy, and Zee. Together, they must track down the missing stone and return it to its rightful place in the town square.

On a 1.9 km walk through Indianapolis, children help Kid Quest and his team track down the missing Sensi-Stone and bring back color, birdsong and the smell of fresh cakes, in around 90 minutes outdoors. Parents, grandparents and birthday-party hosts with kids of about 5 to 11 get an easy weekend outing. Families with toddlers who tire quickly, or wanting an indoor escape room, should pick something else.

Every puzzle gives one sense back, so matching colours and following sound trails is the story rather than a break from it.
Twelve stops across 1.9 km starting at Massachusetts Ave, past Mass Ave, Murals on Mass, and Indianapolis Cultural Trail, short enough for small legs and all outdoors.
Made for families and young explorers, aged about six and up, and a good fit for a birthday or a school group.

Is this an escape room in Indianapolis?
Not in the usual sense. It is an outdoor mission played on a phone while you walk through the city. The app leads you from place to place, tells the story and sets puzzles based on what is in front of you, so the city itself becomes the game board.
How long does it take and how far will we walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes, covering about 1.9 km on foot. That is a manageable distance for most school-age children, and because you set the pace, you can slow down for younger walkers or speed up if the team is racing to solve the case.
What age is it good for?
It is aimed at children of about 5 to 11. The story follows Kid Quest and his friends Pandi, Rocky, Sandy and Zee as they restore sight, sound, smell, taste and touch, so the puzzles get kids noticing the world around them. Very young children may need an adult to help.
Can the whole family play together, and do we need to book a time?
Yes. One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated, so siblings, parents and grandparents can all join in. There is no group to meet and no guide, so you can start whenever suits you, today or at the weekend.
